About a month ago, I was lucky enough to score not only two tickets to Lilith Fair in Chicago, but also a press pass which allowed me to get up close and personal to photograph each act.  (A big shout out must go out to my husband who tagged along for the entire day, which happened to be on our anniversary…thanks, love!)  It was ridiculously incredible to be able to stand at the foot of the stage and photograph the musicians…some of them, artists I have long adored; others, newer to my ears but no less spectacular.

Featured that day, among others, were Meaghan Smith, Kate Nash, Courtyard Hounds, Heart, Mary J. Blige and Sarah McLachlan.  The music was beautiful…powerful, moving, inspirational.  I was awed by the talent that graced the stage and felt completely honored to be able to capture a small part of that magic.

It was a something new for me and the experience was absolutely amazing…I enjoyed every last second of it and hope to be able to do more work like this in the very near future!
